HERE HERE HEREHeya. we here at JF towers really like vinyl. Unfortunately, some people don’t so much (understandably), as they usually lose money… so, we’re taking it upon ourselves to manufacture our own limited run of the next single on wax.

So, here’s the deal. Pre-order the Exciting Johnny Foreigner-Made Limited Edition 7″ of Every Cloakroom Ever, HERE HERE HERE which comes with 2 new tracks on the flipside, and your name will be incorporated into the artwork. Art of course will be put together by the inimitable (amazing) Lewes.

Deadline for pre-orders is February 11th 2010, after which we’ll go away and make it and send it to you. Does that sound cool? It does.

We’ll use the name on as per what’s on your order note - if you want a different name, include it in the notes/special requests section of your order.

PLEASE NOTE: You will also be sent Hi-Quality digital files of the tracks as well.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: we can’t totally guarantee a release date, BUT we’d expect mid-march for shipping. And lots of updates to you ordering people so you don’t bang your heads on the wall in frustation in the meantime.

thank you as ever. We love you.

December 21, 2009 @ @ 5:04 am

Hey all, hope you’re feeling the Christmas / non-denominational holiday vibe…

Lots of news: Firstly the band are on tour in February around the UK: The tour dates look like this:

February
1 Edinburgh Cabaret Voltaire
2 Manchester Ruby Lounge
3 Sheffield Harley
5 Birmingham Hare & Hounds
6 Cardiff Clwb Ifor Bach
7 London KCLSU

Support is tbc, tickets are available at all the usual places. We’ll get some up on this site soon as well.

Equally excitingly, the band have released a free 3-Track EP, which is available to download via this site (accessed from the front page). Alexei had this to say:

“Hello everyone!

to celebrate the coincidental happy news of our little tour being announced and the birth of little baby santa claus, please accept this free gift of songs from us to you.

Winterval is a term coined by our beloved city council some years back when a malfunctioning think tank decreed all other winter holidays to be slightly racist. The enthusiasm lasted long enough for banners to be hung around the city but never caught on with us actual humans, and was quietly dropped and forgotten about, till last week, when we thought it’d make a lovely name for this small package of songs.

ghost the festivals is from our new album, grace and the bigger picture, and is about festivals palace fires was a bside from our last single, criminals, and is about shopping dom’s yardy remix of custom scenes is new off of our hard drives. dom (of SUNSET CINEMA CLUB fame) thinks it’s hilarious, we think its awesome. make of that what you will.

happy winterval, everybody. We hope you are all warm and slightly drunk and coming to see us in february or some other month xxxxxxxx”

November 23, 2009 @ @ 3:57 am

Hi all,

We’re really very sorry to inform you that we’ve had to postpone the band’s show at Cabaret Voltaire this coming Sunday; the reasons are logistical and the requirement to be somewhere on Monday that we have to be at, but wouldn’t be able to get to otherwise.

We hate cancelling shows or messing people about, so we’re really regretful to announce this. We’ll add in the new Edinburgh show soon and hopefully you’ll still be able to make it if you were planning on going and equally hopefully, the awesome Internet Forever will be able to play too…

Apologies again.

A message from Alexei re; Leeds last night

Hi, yesterday was the most YAY!!!/NO!! off our most YAY!!/NO!! tour yet. Parking tickets and powercuts and our guitars/amps/shoes falling apart, that was a point at the end of the show where I was floating around on my back in the top of the audience with a big dumb smile realising that all this is probably worth it. And the someone robbed my microphone and sort of tarnished the evening. Im sick of whining musicians so I’ll not dwell on us being another 100 quid down, but the sentimental value of that sm58 to the person who trustingly lent it to me isn’t something we can replace by jacking up shirt prices or not eating for a couple of days. If you know our band, then you’ll know which we’d sooner do, and the love in the room last night was proof to us that we’re justified in skinting ourselves to do this band. I reckon some drunk kidlet took it in revenge for having to wait round while the venue fixed it’s flux capacitor. well done, you really showed them. We’re doing a free show in December, it’ll probably be billed as an apology for last night but really we just love what we do, any excuse. If you bring us the severed head of the guy who robbed our mic, we’ll give you our gin. We won’t have much else to offer any more. Thx leeds, 99percent of you are wonderful xxx
